AND WHILE AT NORTHWESTERN HILLS, MICHAEL SERVED AS THE AS A POLICE OFFICER BUT ALSO ASSISTED WITH PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER DUTIES. IN JANUARY, 2023 MICHAEL WAS HIRED BY THE NORTH LAKE POLICE DEPARTMENT. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE WERE QUICKLY SEEN AS AN ASSET TO THE DEPARTMENT. WE WENT WITH JUST THE ADMINISTRATIVE PERMITTING PROCESS INSTEAD OF THE SPECIFIC USE PERSON PERMIT PROCESS TO SIMPLIFY THINGS, BUT. TO REQUIRE , UH, SPECIFIC STANDARDS. AND A PERMITTING PROCESS THAT TO APPLY TO SHORT TERM MINERALS. AND TO NOT REQUIRE INSPECTIONS BECAUSE THESE ARE GOING TO BE PRIMARILY SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE PRESIDENTIAL UNITS, AND THAT WAS THE GUIDANCE OF COUNCIL. IT ESTABLISHES AN ANNUAL PERMIT PROCESS WITH NO INSPECTION REQUIREMENT. WITH THAT. PERMIT WILL GET OWNER LOCAL AND OR LOCAL CONTACT INFORMATION. THEY HAVE TO PROVIDE A LOCAL CONTACTS THAT WILL BE ABLE TO RESPOND WITHIN AN HOUR. UH IF THERE'S ANY ISSUES ON SITE MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF LIABILITY INSURANCE MUST PROVIDE A FLOOR PLAN OR PARKING PLAN, AND WE'LL USE THAT TO ESTABLISH THE MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY. UM SETS REGULATIONS FOR SHORT TERM RENTALS. SOME OF THESE INCLUDE THE LENGTH OF STAY . THE REQUIREMENT FOR A LOCAL CONTACT LIABILITY INSURANCE, PARKING REQUIREMENTS AND LIFE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS. AND THERE'S KIND OF DETAILED SPECIFICS AND LAID OUT FOR THOSE IN THE ORDINANCE.

IT ALSO HAS SOME REQUIREMENTS ON THE CONDUCT ON PREMISES, AND THAT'S THE OWNER OPERATOR IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE THE OCCUPANT AWARE OF THE CODE OF CONDUCT AND THEIR REQUIREMENTS.
