CALLING FOR A SPECIAL MEETING FOR A CANVASS OF MAY 2ND SPECIAL ELECTION TO ORDER. WE DO NOT NEED TO HAVE A QUORUM PER SE TODAY, BUT WE HAVE MR. FOWLER HERE WITH US TO PERFORM

[3.A. Consider an Ordinance of the Town of Northlake, Texas, canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the Special Election held on May 2, 2026, for the purpose of submitting to the voters the question of abolishing the sales and use tax imposed by the Northlake Community Development Corporation and the Northlake Economic Development Corporation, and terminating the corporations, and creating the Northlake Municipal Development District pursuant to Chapter 377 of the Texas Local Government Code, and reauthorizing and reallocating the existing total sales and use tax of three-fourths of one percent (0.75%), so that one-half of one percent (0.50%) is dedicated to the Northlake Municipal Development District and one-fourth of one percent (0.25%) is deposited into the Town’s general fund, all contingent upon voter approval; declaring that Proposition A and Proposition B received the majority of votes cast in favor of passing the propositions; and declaring that the election was duly held and the returns of the election have been delivered to the Town Council]

AND I'M MAYOR BRIAN MONTINI, PRESIDING OFFICER OF CANVASING AUTHORITY FOR A TOWN OF NORTH LAKE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 2ND, 2026 IN DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOLLOWING IS A TOTAL OF ALL VOTES RECEIVED FOR EACH PROPOSITION AS VERIFIED IN THE DENTON COUNTY ELECTIONS ADMINISTRATION. FINAL CANVASS.

REPORT. MEASURE PROPOSITION A 134 OF TOTAL VOTES RECEIVED. PROPOSITION B 145 TOTAL VOTES RECEIVED. A QUORUM OF AT LEAST TWO COUNCIL MEMBERS IS PRESENT SITTING AND CANVASING BOARD TODAY IN THIS MEETING, WHICH IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND WAS PROPERLY POSTED IN TOWN, NORTH LAKE, TEXAS. THE PROCEEDINGS OF THIS MEETING WILL BE NOTATED IN THE OFFICIAL MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CANVASS MEETING AND WILL BE WILL REFLECT THE COMPLETION OF THE CANVASS AS
